What Corolla does to a window
Corolla is the north end of the paved road, with the Atlantic on one side and Currituck Sound on the other, and the glass takes salt from both. The oceanfront homes at Whalehead, Ocean Sands, Pine Island and Ocean Hill take spray straight off the water on every east wind and dry a white film within a week of a cleaning, and a nor'easter carries the salt across the whole island to the sound-front at Monteray Shores and Corolla Light. The big rental houses with three floors of window walls facing the ocean are the hardest working glass on the Outer Banks.
The sound side takes a damp haze every morning that leaves a gray film on the water side of the house, and the sound fog on fall and winter mornings leaves a mineral haze that rain does not rinse off. Blowing sand frosts the lower panes on windy afternoons, heaviest at Carova and the four-wheel-drive beaches, the pines and live oaks over the Currituck Club and Buck Island drop pollen each spring, and the golf-course irrigation leaves a hard line along the lower panes. Rentals turn over every Saturday, and the homes that sit closed in winter are exactly where salt film does the most damage.
Most Corolla homes do best on an every-two-months plan, and oceanfront homes often want monthly in the windy months. Sound-side and interior homes in the Currituck Club and Monteray Shores sometimes stretch to quarterly in summer. Rental owners usually have us on a set day between guests, with the inside glass done once a year. We keep vendor passes current at the Pine Island and Currituck Club gates.

Can you remove hard water spots from sprinklers?
In most cases, yes. Mineral spots from sprinkler overspray need a dedicated treatment rather than regular cleaning. Tell us about them on the quote form and we will look at them on the first visit.
